There was once a story I’d watched from the TV about a guy who derives pleasure in hurting animals, a masochist. When he was asked why he does that he just simply said that it was fun. Even though he had been told it was a bad thing to do, for him it was a good thing to do. So what keeps the guy doing such things? Was he born evil? According to his psychiatrist, when he was still a young boy her mother was abusing him and when he was crying out that time he saw a cat passed by, he went to it and try to hurt the cat to let go of his depression but as soon as the feeling of the superiority against the cat was realized, he kept on hurting it as an act of releasing his feelings, and that was the first incident until he does abused other animals. So the evil was an act to let himself feel superior whereas his mother let him felt the opposite.
Archetypes according to Carl Jung are a tendency or instinctive trend in the human unconscious to represent certain motifs or themes, in short a symbol e.g. the gods in mythology that each represents their respective nature i.e. as death to Hades, as beauty to Aphrodite, as war to Ares, a.s.o., most common form of archetypes are experienced in dreams. It is normal for a person to encounter the devil in his/her dreams either in a symbol of the terror teacher, strict boss, stalker, a.s.o.
The devil in dreams is described as:
Any code of conduct, whether accepted form parents/ peers leaves aspects of our total self unlived. The struggle with paternal authority or power within oneself is often represented as the devil. If we change our code of conduct, we may meet the devil because we release the previously unlived area of self.
The shadow in dreams is described as:
Any part of ourselves which we reject, and so do not allow expression in our life. Meeting the shadow through our dreams is a meeting with our own reality, which in turn enables us to look at the world realistically. The shadow can be met.
Nevertheless there was really no evil according to the Christian doctrines and that the evil came from the rebellious angel, that God being almighty had created as angel that sinned. But was it really pride that caused the angel to fall?
There are many theories about the fall like the following:
- The different sides of God
States that God has two faces: the bright side and the dark side in which the dark side came into control and separated from the bright side
- Consequences of free will
- God’s Aura
States that those who moved the furthest away from God’s aura became the demons
- Lust
States about the half human, half angel Nephilims
- Pride
- Sin
States the controversy of freewill
- Bowing to mankind
Sates that those angels who refuses to bow before mankind was casted out from heaven
Of psychological disorder,
Of the archetypes,
Of the thrones, powers, seraphims…
Black is not a color, it is a shade.
The color of evil is what you see behind yours or someone’s eyes.
